Salary : JOB SUMMARY
The Project Estimator I is responsible for drafting client requested quotations and ensuring that all quotes are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. This will include entering information into internal systems and assisting in coordinating efforts to maintain timelines. This position reports to the Manager of Quotation Services. The Project Estimators responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinating internally to ensure the quote request meet each quote deadline, whether requiring a standard turn-around time, or a rushed turn-around time.
Updating the tracking system to track progress of active requests.
With guidance, be able to understand USP and additional general chapter testing monographs to meet specific client requests and to create specific quotes.
Pricing individual tests, testing studies, and full projects, with the help of Senior Project Estimators and Manager.
Understanding and creating quotes for projects that may require multiple steps and / or may require additional responsibilities.
Ability to work well with others and help coordinate their own work for a common goal.
Great attention to detail to ensure that the quality of the quote output meets our clients expectations.
Ability to balance normal work load while also completing projects assigned to them by the Quoting Manager.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
A BS degree in a scientific discipline is preferred with 0-2 years of related work experience. Basic computer skills are required. Experience with cGMP is desired and quoting experience is a plus.
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Must have the ability and skill to perform the detailed job requirements noted above competently, safely, accurately, and proficiently. Self-starting motivated person who possesses excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Must be experienced in MS Word and Excel and have an ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to clearly communicate with the manager and other groups. Must be detail oriented. Must be a team player with integrity and concern for the quality of Company products.
