Basics : Locations : Sudbury, Sherborn, Boston, Malden, and / or Milton Hourly rate : $15 - $20 / hourAs a Substitute Teacher you will : Greet families warmly at drop-off and pick-up Create an inviting and safe outdoor classroom environment Collaborate with other teacher(s) to meet the cultural, behavioral, and physical needs of the children Be responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of all children. This includes helping children stay warm and dry in inclement weather, managing risk in an outdoor setting, and addressing conflict. Be an ambassador for BOPN when interacting with the public Other duties as assigned You are : Passionate, creative, intentional and reflective in your work with children. Dedicated to early learning, child-directed and play-based learning, and the outdoors. Engaging and easily able to communicate with students, families, and peers. Excited to get dirty and laugh a lot while teaching outside in all types of weather. Experienced teaching children 2-5 years old in traditional preschool or outdoor programs. Tolerant of uncertainty and change and understand that organizations continue to improve when the people who work there are adaptable, take chances, & learn from their mistakes Preferred : EEC teacher certification, experience in environmental education, or anti-bias education Additional Information : Candidates who add to our diverse community are encouraged to apply.
