Job Overview:
The Boston Yacht Club is looking for enthusiastic sailing coaches/instructors who excel in leadership and possess a thorough understanding of teaching youth sailors across various skill levels. Our program emphasizes coaching beginners, intermediates, and those honing their basic racing skills.
Ideal Candidate:
We seek individuals who are passionate about coaching, proactive, and have a demonstrated ability to succeed in youth sailing instruction. While previous coaching experience is valued, it is not mandatory; experience in high school or collegiate sailing is beneficial. We appreciate instructors who can enhance our sailors’ skills while creating a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Job Requirements:
- U.S. Sailing Small Boat Sailing Instructor Level 1, CPR & First Aid, and SafeSport Certified
- Experience in dinghy racing and/or keelboat
- Availability in Marblehead MA from early June to mid August (housing not provided)
Compensation:
Pay is based on experience. We will reimburse for Level 1, CPR & First Aid, and SafeSport certifications.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
