Overview
Production Control Clerk (EAGLE 2025-22707):
Bowhead seeks a Production Control Clerk to support its recently awarded Eagle contract in Aberdeen, MD. The Production Control Clerk prepares automated and manual documents and inputs data from documents for assigned shops, any associated trade codes and posts data on records. The Production Control Clerk compiles and records production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
- Prepares necessary documentation according to Global Combat Support System (GCSS)-Army.
- Inputs data from work documents for assigned shops, which could include labor hours and associated trade codes, and any notes pertaining to specified work.
- Maintains accurate records of all third-party support hours, and of all contractual over and above work to be performed, and the hours used to perform the work.
- Validates the accuracy of work ongoing and/or completion information.
- Keeps track of all assigned work documents and provides up-to-date status to assigned shops and the work management system.
- Verifies and annotates, on work documents, all associated costs (labor, material, subcontract, etc.) for each completed job.
- Prints, sorts, and distributes a variety of work documents such as service calls, project work orders, and preventive maintenance task documents to appropriate shops.
- Maintains and files all completed work documents, warranties, and other pertinent information pertaining to each facility.
- Maintains facility and vehicle history folders and records.
- Maintains Real Property Installed Equipment list.
- Generates communication equipment work orders for submission and approval.
- Generates and prints a variety of reports or requirements for submission to shops and customers.
- Assists other trade groups in day-to-day operations where required.
- Records and files documents accurately.
- Maintains confidentiality of records.
- Receives, prepares, and verifies documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least five (5 ) years of experience in maintaining and running the GCSS-Army or equivalent system.
- Must have excellent typing and 10-key skills as well as extensive past operation of computers, software, and networks.
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
- Sit for long periods of time operating a computer keyboard.
- Repeat the same movements.
- Exposure to excessive noise.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. Due to the location of this work, U.S. citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
