General Summary of Responsibilities: Provides clinical and administrative leadership and direction to the nursing division and other assigned departments.
Facilitates development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of services within the assigned areas through collaboration with the nursing leaders, clinical/medical staff and other managers. Assures achievement of goals and adherence to policies, procedures, and standards set forth by state, federal, and hospital regulatory agencies. Creates an environment of innovation and creativity. Accountable for establishing operational mechanisms and nurse leadership structures which facilitate quality patient care.

Education and Experience :
Required: Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN), five years of recent acute care experience (including emergency care, intensive care, medical-surgical care, and OB).
Conditional: Completion of a Master’s in Nursing or related field within five years of hire.
Preferred: Two years of nursing management experience.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Required: Nebraska Registered Nurse License, Basic Life Support (BLS), valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: National Nursing Administration Certification.
