Opportunity
We are looking to strengthen our HR capabilities that covers both Boyle Transportation and Skelton USA, supporting approximately 250-300 people. The HR Manager will help us grow our team and continuously improve upon our award-winning work environment.
People are our most important assets, and we invest heavily in resources to help them do their job safely and successfully. The HR Manager will be responsible for HR metrics development and analysis, recruitment, onboarding and orientation strategies, day-to-day employee relations, policy and program development, regulatory compliance, learning and development program execution, and benefit budget process. The successful candidate will also negotiate contracts with benefit providers, balancing costs with employee satisfaction. The HR Manager will report to the General Manager, through measured performance and contributions to strategic initiatives and innovation.
The role will be based at our Billerica, MA headquarters with occasional travel to other sites or conferences. This is primarily an in-office position.

Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field
- SHRM or relevant HR certification is an asset
- 3 years of proven leadership experience in HR
- Solid financial and business acumen.
- Extensive knowledge of human resources compliance and best practices
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- High proficiency in MS Office and payroll/HR software applications (Paylocity experience is an asset)
- Passion for creating a safe and productive environment for workers
- Occasional travel
- Qualify for US government security clearance (must be a US citizen)
- Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities with an ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with key cross-functional business stakeholders across all levels
- Strong attention to detail while focused on outcomes/results
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, in addition, shows the proven ability to deliver in a fast paced, dynamic business environment.
- Proven experience in supply chain or transportation related industries is considered an asset.
