Director of Programs

Program Director – Qualified applicants must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check screening.

Program Director Job Description/Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees the Club-wide operations of programming and program staff (i.e. Prevention
• Specialist, etc.)
• In partnership with applicable administrative staff, oversees and manages all program-related grants (e.g. SOR, SMART Moves, etc.).
• Assists with the establishing of organization-wide program objectives, goals and settings that ensure the health and safety of members.
• Develops and assists with program curricula for the organization.
• Demonstrates leadership to ensure appropriate conduct, safety and the development of members and subordinates.
• Any other duties as required/assigned by the CEO.
• Inventory & organize supplies
• Works within a budget
• Interact with children in various settings
• Supervises 10-20 adult staff.
• Works with Club staff on planning and promoting special events
• Assists in creation of a positive environment for members, parents/guardians and staff through each interaction
• Perform all other duties that may be necessary to carry out the purpose of the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and related prior employment experience.
• Minimum of 2 (two) years of child care experience and program implementation and development.
• May be directed to obtain CPR/First Aid/ AED certification/training.
• A strong commitment to nonprofit vision, mission and values.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with deadlines.
• Teamwork ability with a positive attitude, works well with others and communicates effectively (written and orally).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva and the Google Suite.
• The ability to learn new software applications quickly.
• Minimum of 1 (one) year of related experience.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with deadlines.
