Summary
We are seeking a Tobacco Intervention Assistant our goal is to reduce underage tobacco sales in the state of California. Those who are selected to work with OYTE investigators will attempt purchases of tobacco products at tobacco retailers under OYTE supervision to reduce the illegal sale of tobacco to minors. Transportation is provided by the investigators so you will never have to travel to Fresno or use your own vehicle.
Decoys who participate in undercover tobacco compliance checks are trained and prepared for anti -tobacco related tasks. The California Decoy Program offers a unique opportunity for decoys to earn money, work with state law enforcement, and help stop the injustice of underage tobacco sales. We are pleased to offer all enrolled decoys a $50 sign-on bonus as well as the opportunity to earn $100-$200 on the days they work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of aimed effort's at preventing illegal tobacco sales.
- Engage with Investigators and in providing support and guidance during activities.
- Help develop awareness about illegal tobacco sales in local and surrounding communities.
- Collaborate with the CA Decoy Program by volunteered support
- Provide feedback to enhance program effectiveness
- Support anti-tobacco related task
