Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled building official to manage building department operations for one of our key clients in the San Joaquin County area.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage building department operations for assigned client agencies
- Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to day-to-day functions
- Consult with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues
- Perform field inspections on all phases of residential and commercial construction
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Five plus years as a building official or building inspector experience
- Knowledge and application of plan review and construction processes
- Experience in interpretation and application of building codes
- Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes
