Experienced Automotive Service Writer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Writer. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and coordinating automotive services for our clients. This is a vital role in ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

-The MAIN responsibility would be to create estimates for service.
- Greet customers and provide them with a warm welcome to our service department
- Listen to customers' concerns and accurately document their vehicle service needs
- Schedule appointments and coordinate service timelines with technicians
- Provide cost estimates for repairs and services, ensuring transparency and clarity for customers
- Communicate with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on progress and any additional recommendations
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering parts and ensuring availability for scheduled services
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of repairs
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and warranty claims in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and vehicle maintenance schedules

Experience:
- Previous experience in automotive service management or as a service writer is a must!

- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes
- Familiarity with air brake systems, diesel engine repair, oil changes, and general vehicle maintenance
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical customers
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
- Proficient computer skills for data entry, record keeping, and generating reports
