IT Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot software and hardware issues, manage desktop support, and maintain effective communication with users to enhance their experience.

Duties

• Provide technical support for operating systems, primarily Windows, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot software issues and perform necessary repairs or upgrades to enhance system functionality.
• Manage LAN connectivity and ensure reliable network performance for all users.
• Deliver desktop support by assisting users with hardware setups, configurations, and maintenance.
• Utilize Remedy or similar ticketing systems to track and resolve IT support requests efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to understand their technical needs and provide timely solutions.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on computer systems to prevent issues before they arise.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new technologies and improve existing processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT support roles with a strong understanding of computer management principles.
• Proficiency in operating systems, particularly Windows, along with experience in LAN management.
• Strong skills in software troubleshooting and desktop support techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Remedy is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
