Role Description
The IT Support Technician role will be the primary point of contact to monitor, track, and resolve helpdesk support requests, installation and setup for phone and internet, hardware installations or repairs, and software and network support across the Resort along with supporting our Owners, Members, and other operating entities. The IT Support Technician will be expected to troubleshoot/repair PCs, software, peripherals including CPE's (customer premises equipment) and access points in an efficient and technically sound manner. In addition the IT Support Technician is expected to provide outstanding customer service to our staff, guests and owners at Brasada Ranch. The position requires that the person be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
General Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for helpdesk support and utilize a helpdesk tracking system
- Assist with troubleshooting and solving hardware, software and network issues over the phone and on-site. Determine appropriate course of action and follow through to completion
- Assist with the support and troubleshooting of the property's WI-FI system
- Install and maintain phone and internet services to meet members, owners and cabin guests needs
- Assists with the installation and maintains Brasada Ranch's fiber optics infrastructure throughout the entire property
- Maintain complete and accurate hardware and software inventories
- Prepare documentation of procedures for end-users and other support staff
- Correspond with users to provide status updates of projects/requests, training information, informational memos, etc.
- Create and maintain all requirements for E911 compliance and regulations
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues involving internet connectivity, email clients, VOIP and more
- Project planning and reporting
- Provide excellent customer service to our customers
- Coordinate with contractors for major repairs and maintain storage and inventory for above operations.
- Make sure rooms units are in order and appliances are working properly. Deliver high level of service to owners, guests and employees.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to use a computer to record activities, communication and provide billing to various departments.
- Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Skills/Traits
- 2-year college degree in Information Systems or related field preferred
- 2-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Windows 10 Pro and all Microsoft Office programs
- Experience supporting users in a networked environment
- Knowledge of installing, troubleshooting and supporting all types of PC hardware and peripherals
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays and evenings hours.
- Must be able to work independently and without close supervision.
- Requires good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move 100 pounds.
- Oregon Driver's License
