Company Overview:
Our Client is a growing electrical contracting firm that specializes in multifamily and commercial projects. Their projects range from $1M to $1.5M, and they are committed to delivering top-quality results. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator or a Project Manager who can also estimate to join their team in Tampa, FL.
Position Overview:
The Electrical Estimator or Project Manager will be responsible for providing detailed cost estimates and producing competitive bids. This role will also coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily and commercial projects, with a thorough understanding of electrical systems. Low Voltage experience, including fire alarm, security, communications, and data systems, is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for multifamily and commercial projects ranging from $1M to $1.5M
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to ensure the accuracy of bids and estimates
- Review project documents and specifications to develop comprehensive estimates
- Coordinate with the project team to assess and resolve scope discrepancies or project changes
- Utilize estimating software such as Accubid or Conest to ensure precise estimates
- Provide input for project schedules, resource allocation, and procurement needs
- Foster and maintain relationships with Florida-based vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate local pricing and market knowledge
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management or 5 years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong background in multifamily and commercial projects
- Experience with low voltage systems (fire alarms, security, communications, data systems) is a plus
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Conest, or similar programs
- Familiarity with the Florida market and local contacts is preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
