We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals for the position of EVS Hospital Worker at Baptist East. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing custodial duties in accordance with established protocols to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
- Conduct floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, and buffing to maintain a clean appearance.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies such as soap, paper towels, and other hygiene products.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and contaminants.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed to maintain a high standard of environmental services.
Skills
- Experience in custodial or commercial cleaning environments preferred.
- Knowledge of environmental services practices within a hospital setting is a plus.
- Ability to effectively sanitize surfaces and understand proper cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards related to cleaning and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively while performing tasks.
