System Integration Developer with expertise in C# and .NET to design, develop, and maintain system integrations for SmartSquad's innovative law enforcement applications. This role will focus on ensuring seamless communication between our cloud-based platform and external enterprise systems, improving data exchange efficiency, and enhancing operational effectiveness for law enforcement agencies nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize system integrations using C# and .NET technologies within SmartSquad's cloud-based or on-premise ecosystem.
- Designed and implemented APIs, web services, and data pipelines for system interoperability between SmartSquad's platform and various law enforcement systems.
- Collaborate with IT and law enforcement teams to analyze system requirements and integration needs for agencies of various sizes.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards and law enforcement regulations across all integrated systems.
- Develop solutions that support SmartSquad's mission of modernizing law enforcement communications and information sharing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues, optimizing performance and reliability across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Document development processes, technical solutions, and integration workflows.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in C# and .NET development for system integration, particularly in cloud-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, SQL databases, and message queues.
- Ability to complete a comprehensive background check and obtain a NCIC certification.
- Experience with middleware, enterprise service buses (ESB), or cloud-based integration tools is a plus.
- Understanding of mobile application integrations and synchronization challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10% for implementation discovery sessions with police departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure cloud services and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with law enforcement or public safety systems, particularly Records Management Systems (RMS), Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), and Digital Evidence Management (DEM) systems.
- Experience with NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) or other standards-based data exchanges.
- Knowledge of security protocols, data encryption, and secure mobile communications.
- Understanding of CJIS compliance and government IT policies for law enforcement technology.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with real-time notification systems and push technologies for mobile applications.
- Previous work with geospatial data integration and mapping services.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $36.57 - $42.91 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
