Brazos Electric is a transmission and distribution cooperative whose members' service territory extends across 68 counties from the Texas Panhandle to Houston. Organized in 1941, Brazos Electric was the first cooperative formed in the Lone Star state for the purpose of generating and supplying electrical power. Today, Brazos Electric provides wholesale power delivery services for its 16 member-owner distribution cooperatives. Owned by its member cooperatives, the Brazos Electric board of directors is comprised of one representative from each of these 16 members.

What You’ll Do:
As an Engineering Assistant in Communications, you will:
As an Engineering Assistant in Communications, you will:
- Design and Develop: Create and analyze engineering drawings and specifications for advanced communication systems.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work alongside engineers and technicians to design, install, and test systems like SCADA remote terminals, IP-based networking infrastructure, and security/video systems.
- Field & Technical Expertise: Conduct site surveys, inspections, and data collection to support communications projects.
- Project Support: Prepare cost estimates, material lists, and detailed CAD drawings for engineering projects.
- Technical Consultation: Assist with system studies and provide insight into special projects.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Education: Associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, or computer networking from a recognized vocational/technical school.
Experience: Four (4) years in a related engineering technician role or comparable position.
Skills: Proficiency in CAD drafting, telecommunications design, and engineering software.
