The IT Coordinator works as a support specialist under the direction of the Senior Business System Specialist. The IT Coordinator coordinate and assist with the management of databases, performing basic troubleshooting, and training end-users for the Recreation software.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Education Required: Graduation from an accredited 4 year college or university.Area of Study (Major) Required: Computer science, Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS), Management Information Systems (MIS) or related technical field. Certification(s) Preferred: Microsoft Certified Trainer. License(s) Required: Valid LA Driver's License. Years Relevant Work Experience Required: Over 1 year up to three years of experience in IT, Computer Science or Systems Analysis. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Years Relevant Work Experience Preferred: 5 or more years related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint & ExcelKnowledge of database managementSkill in introductory training & instruction of end usersHigh in customer service and the ability to deal with the public with tact and courtesy.Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues with all electronic items working with POSAbility to provide service desk support /remote support for all Recreation POS software workstationsAbility to quickly learn BREC policies and procedures, operations and programsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and public.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Full time position. Generally 8 hours per day, 5 days per week; lunch break daily; overtime as required.
