What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Operator/Set-up position at Brelie Gear Company?
BRELIE GEAR COMPANY is a full-service gear manufacturer in Waukesha, WI. We are looking to add an experienced CNC Set-up/Operator to our growing machining department. This is a 1st shift, full-time position, Monday thru Thursday 6am until 3PM and Friday 6am until noon. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operate CNC Turning and milling machines
Select and verify proper tooling and fixtures for set-up operations
Adjust offsets
Monitor, inspect and document part quality data as specified on prints and shop travelers
Maintain proper fluid levels on all machines, minor machine maintenance
Keep machine and work area clean
Qualifications that we require:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in setting up and operating CNC machines (Fanuc controls preferred) Current students and recent graduates of CNC Machine courses will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
Auto bar feeder experience is a plus
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, customer specifications, quality standards and bills of material
Basic G & M code knowledge
Must be proficient using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial bore gauges, etc.) **Candidates will be tested at interview**
Ability to edit programs as needed to improve efficiency and productivity
Ability to communicate effectively with others
