We are looking for a full time licensesd nurse for Director of Staff Development in our 55 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in beautiful Red Bluff California. The ideal canidate would be a licensed RN or LVN in the state of California with experience in Long Term Care within the last five years, be willing to become certified in Staff Development within the first 14 days of employment if not already certified, willing to take call as a member of the nursing management team, have a grasp of state and federal regulations, willing to be flexible as the daily task evolve, and possess the drive to serve the underserved.
Hours would be Monday through Friday , with on call rotation as needed
Pay will be $38-$48 dollars per hour based on expereince and licensure.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, with a dotted line to Administrator, the Director of Staff Development assumes responsibility for Orientation, In-service Education and training for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA's) to meet state regulatory agencies requirements
Recognizes educational needs of a SNF and CNA staff and facilitates accordingly
Our ideal candidate has firm knowledge of the DSD role and is ready to expand their career in creating, implementing and managing a CNA training program within the facility, in conjunction with area schools and/or as a part of our organization.
Qualifications
Must have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California
Must have and maintain current BLS certification or obtain within the orientation process, prior to hands-on patient care
Acquires basic Infection Prevention LVN practice knowledge
Previous clinical teaching experience of at least one (1) year
Knowledge of state and federal regulations as to C.N.A. training, orientation, and in-service
Salary : $38 - $48
