What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Varsity Football Coach position at Bridgeport-Spaulding Community School District?
Preferred Qualification Requirements:
1. Coaching experience (preferably head coach).
2. Technical knowledge of all aspects of coaching football (offense, defense, special teams, strategies, etc.)
3. Ability to work with athletes of diverse skill levels and socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
5. Provide leadership in athletics.
6. Establish effective working relationships with athletes, colleagues, families and the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide organizational direction and administration for the football program.
2. Be aware of conference and state rules governing football programs.
3. Develop an off-season conditioning and strength program.
4. Monitor academic progress of students involved in the program and assist in promoting these athletes to further their education beyond high school.
5. Oversee and organize coaching staff at all levels.
6. Collaborate with programs provided by local townships for students.
