What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCADA Network System Administrator position at Bridger Pipeline LLC?
Summary
This is a full time position that is responsible for guiding and implementing technological platforms needed to support 24/7 Pipeline Control Center and SCADA infrastructure and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Administers end-user desktop & workstations and supports end-user activities utilizing TCP/IP on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based local area network (LAN).
- Coordinates workstation and server changes with all affected personnel.
- Resolves Server and workstation performance issues.
- Administers System Backup and Tape infrastructure.
- Administers Active directory management and quarterly user audit.
- Recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment.
- Assesses system requirements and ensures compatibility with existing applications and equipment.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent education with pipeline network system experience and extensive knowledge of pipeline and control center operations; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor, or in a team environment, while supporting teams for a common goal and/or solution.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, application, web and software applications.
- Pipeline network experience and extensive knowledge of pipeline and control center operations
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must attend Industrial Control Systems Security training and register with US-CERT to monitor network vulnerabilities.
- Must reside in or relocate to central Wyoming.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test
