Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, TX
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with 8 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the electrical design of various projects, including commercial, municipal, multi-family, healthcare, government, institutional, industrial, and historic structures. You'll work closely with senior engineers and the project team throughout the design and construction phases, adapting electrical plans to meet project requirements and client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the electrical design of projects from conceptual phase through construction administration.
- Collaborate with the electrical design team, ensuring project success and quality.
- Prepare electrical specifications and review submittals in coordination with other engineering disciplines.
- Apply knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, industry standards, and codes.
- Help find solutions to design challenges and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support construction administration, including field observations and resolving design-related issues.
- Build relationships with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, cost estimates, and tracking project performance.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and provide support in the Quality Control process.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project execution.
- Assist with RFQs, bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Must have the ability to obtain a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas within 1–2 years.
- 8 years of experience in electrical engineering within an MEP consulting environment.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and IEEE standards.
- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to resolve design challenges effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in reviewing engineering documents and specifications.
