Assistant Supply Chain Manager
Job Overview
This position manages and oversees the Put-Away, Order Fulfillment, Call Center Support, and Shipping Teams and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment, put-away, organization, and delivery of all product within the supply chain warehousing operation. Additionally, this position supports all four (4) sales channels. The Assistant Supply Chain Manager reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for functional and technological performance of all warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, and put-away processes. This individual ensures that the fulfillment, shipping, and put-away teams are well trained and that critical performance levels and key indicators are supported and sustained.

Assistant Supply Chain Manager

This individual ensures that the fulfillment, shipping, and put-away teams are well trained and that critical performance levels and key indicators are supported and sustained.
What You’ll Do In This Position
Support Supply Chain Management (20%)
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager with special projects and assume duties during their absence.
- Ensure software and warehouse equipment meet business needs.
- Help refine processes to balance inventory needs and maximize performance.
- Collaborate with Category Management to optimize space and systems.
- Oversee hiring, training, and leadership for Put-Away, Fulfillment, Call Center, and Shipping teams.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processes, resolving discrepancies and improving performance metrics.
- Maintain fairness, motivate team members, and foster exceptional customer service.
- Oversee shipping claims for lost, damaged, or delayed orders.
- Maintain a highly organized and clean warehouse for efficient product retrieval.
- Reorganize product as needed and improve warehouse processes.
- Ensure accurate inventory transfers to the campus store.
- Develop metrics to measure success and assess key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Use reports to identify and solve process gaps.
- Work with I.T., Accounting, Inventory, Sales, and other stakeholders to enhance warehouse performance.
- Participate in planning and training meetings for process alignment.
What qualifies you for this role
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of retail customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to train and teach individuals and small groups
- Physical Ability to lift heavy boxes and stand for long periods of time
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business and 5 years’ previous experience in supply chain management
- Strong computer and technology skills: familiarity with handheld scanners, price tag printers, utilization or ERP and Office Suite
- Analytical skills to conduct product trend and data analysis
- Thorough knowledge of fulfillment processes including product put-away, product picking, sales invoices, and shipping strategies
- Experience running multiple types of forklifts
