Position:
A successful Plant Manager will lead the Shift Supervisors to achieve the Production Goals. The Plant Manager will monitor the performance of Shift Supervisors and ensure that tasks are completed. Follow safety procedures and instructions in accordance with all Food Safety, GMP & SOP Guidelines
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Meet with the Director to understand needs, plans and production goals.
· Oversee Shift Supervisors to study the production schedule in detail to clearly understand the requirements for the shift assignment.
· Review the manpower and hours required to meet the production goal
· Make recommendations for adjustments to increase or decrease overtime and manpower required to meet production schedule.
· Make recommendations for adjustments to work procedures and team roles to meet the production schedule.
· Reviewing with Supervisors that the raw material and packaging inventory is ready to meet production goals.
· Experience working in food manufacturing preferred.
Leadership:
· Coach Supervisors to provide structure, accountability and foster a positive culture for all employees.
· Foster opportunities for Supervisors to improve document flow, communications and to achieve customer’s expectations.
· Gather information from Supervisors on ways to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
· Implement changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of facility, department or work crew.
· Foster opportunities for daily learning strategies to build knowledge and accountability.
Supervision:
· Oversee Supervisor’s shift performance as it relates to managing manpower, equipment and product output.
· Interface with other departments to ensure that customer deadlines are met
· Analyze and resolve work problems by coaching Supervisors to resolve problems and issues.
· Make timely decisions (or seek advice for decisions beyond his/her control) so that production time and product quality is achieved.
· Monitor Supervisor’s safety and performance throughout the shift
· Maintain accurate and timely production records
· Monitor that all human resources documentation, records and issues with shift employees are completed
Communication:
· Maintain good communication with Director on critical items to obtain approval or feedback.
· Reply to all company communications, follow up on commitments made and complete all necessary documents in a timely and accurate manner.
· Clearly communicate the company policies, expectations and requirements to all Supervisors without discrimination.
· Oversee that all grievances, safety, and production issues are handled with the proper documentation on a timely basis.

Work Environment:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cold and hot/humid temperatures within the plant, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
