Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Accounting Clerk with our client located in Bloomingdale, IL. Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization who specializes in steel. They are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. The Accounting Clerk will primarily be focused on performing transactional accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Additionally, this Accounting Clerk will report to the Senior Accountant and work alongside a team of 3 other individuals in the department. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to interview and start shortly after.
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
- Process AP invoices daily to vendors
- Research and resolve invoice issues
- Perform cash applications by applying payments daily by ACH & wire, some checks
- Run an aging report to recognize the accounts that are highest priority by past due
- Perform follow up with customers who are past due
- Enter invoices into the system
- Contact the customer by email and phone
- Special projects as needed
Accounting Clerk Qualifications:
- 2 years of accounting knowledge
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
