Title: Operations Manager
Location: Grapevine & Carrollton, Texas
BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE
Summary: Serve as Operations Manager for any department needed. This will require cross training in various departments.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Ensure that established SOPs are explained to staff, executed, and maintained. If there is a need for an SOP, bring it to the attention of the Sr. Director of Operations.
· Create and maintain a safe work environment for all Associates and Leaders
· Operations Managers will lead and develop a team of 2-3 front-line Supervisors and 50-200 hourly associates
· Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
· Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes
· Operations Managers create, communicate and maintain quality control policies and continuous improvement initiatives across the team(s), shifts, and fulfillment centers
· Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives geared towards Safety, Quality, and Productivity
· Build and deliver productivity plans by reviewing forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance labor on a daily and weekly basis
· Constantly review and action performance data with your Supervisors, ensuring adherence to, or exceeding operational goals (weekly, daily, hourly)
· Partner with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the network
· Manage, coach, develop team of Operations Supervisors
· Lead and supervise a team of supervisors, and 100-300 hourly associates
· Inbound and Outbound operations within the Fulfillment Center.
· Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of the shift
· Staff according to the needs of the week utilizing current orders combined with projected orders based on history.
· Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals.
· Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needs. Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learning.
- Manage, with Human Resources, the employee staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Train, coach and motivate employees.
- Report to Senior Director of Operations.
EXPECTATIONS
Operations:
· Complete all orders daily that come in.
· Maintain open communications with the client services.
· Reach out to fellow OMs when staffing needs arise to ensure that we are utilizing our teams to their fullest potentials
REQUIREMENTS
· Must have at least one to two years of D to C (direct to customer) experience
· Must have some ability in Spanish
· Knowledge of Office Suite and Google
· HS Diploma or GED required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,810.26 - $60,100.00 per year
