We are seeking a flexible Executive General Manager for an established Fine Dining Restaurant in Houston's River Oaks district. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the establishment's operations. Your role will involve ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining a high-quality atmosphere, managing staff, handling finances, and implementing effective marketing strategies. You will be accountable for the financial and operational performance of the restaurant. As a GM, you will build, coach, manage and develop teams from a staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training standpoint. You will also ensure that the restaurant follows all local, state, and federal regulations. As a GM, you must have excellent team leadership and customer service skills. You must also exemplify integrity and accountability at the managerial level.
Candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays. Strong operational skills in a customer service environment and exceptional customer service skills are required. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills along with the ability to communicate effectively. Basic business math and accounting skills are required. Applicants will need to have basic computer skills, knowledge of food and labor costs and enjoy working with people. They should have the ability to create a fun environment for customers and staff and be self-motivated and highly energetic. Candidates must have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Serv-Safe certification or equivalent preferred, High School Diploma required, Must be 21 years of age or older, must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance, registration and a satisfactory vehicle.
