Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years extensive experience in operating various types of cranes and heavy equipment, ensuring that all lifting operations are performed safely and efficiently. This role is crucial in supporting construction and industrial projects, requiring a strong understanding of mechanical operations and adherence to safety protocols. Must obtain a 3A Hoisting Engineer License. We are a small family business in which we manufacture precast concrete items such as septic tanks and like products. You will also be helping build cages with wire and rebar as well as setting up molds to be prepared to be poured, taking out products, loading and moving products with forklift. We have our own batching plant to mix and manufacture concrete. Mandatory drug test will be in place.
Responsibilities
- Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on site.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and other heavy machinery to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate lifting operations.
- Maintain clear communication with ground personnel using hand signals during lifting operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on cranes and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
- Document daily activities, including equipment usage and any incidents that occur during operations.
- Forklift work such as moving products and loading customers.
- Preparing and striping molds to manufacture products.
- Must have a 3 A license and maintain it throughout employment.
Skills
- Proficient in operating various types of cranes, including concrete mixers, tankers, Caterpillar machinery, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness for precise operation of cranes.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a focus on safety.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members on-site.
