What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Analyst position at Britax Child Safety?
The Sales Analyst works with leadership to set the annual sales plan. They will develop/implement sales forecast processes and improvements to effectively manage the business. The Analyst will develop KPI and Dashboards to assist Sales and Leadership to monitor performance and take more proactive actions. You will be a leader in the business by understanding trends internally and in the market to help influence decisions in growing our business.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Operating Discipline
- Support the annual planning and monthly operating rhythm to deliver annual budget, market share goals
- Manages sales forecasting process while looking for ways to improve
- Understands the business strategy, provides thought leadership to key company initiatives
- Manages/develops a standardized promotional calendar, annual account planning cadence, POS and monthly selling operating imperatives
- Conduct monthly reviews with sales team
- Improve dashboards to track targets, accounts and performance while looking for enhancements to tracking tools
Sales / Market Analysis
- Analyze internal and syndicated sales data to measure performance to goals, identify opportunities/threats, and provide root causes of identified issues
- Develop POS and Marketplace reporting views with KPIs
- Facilitate POS and Marketplace reviews with sales and product management teams with a focus on market insights to drive growth
- Assist with performance and marketplace intel during the annual budgeting process
- Works with sales, sales operations and product management to identify, develop, and enhance critical capabilities needed to improve long term economics of the business
- Represents the business point of view on IT and Information Delivery solutions to grow
- Perform ad-hoc analysis upon request
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 years' experience in sales analytic or sales FP&A type roles
- Degree in Finance or related Business degree
- Experience working in CPG industry required
- Sales and analysis skills
- Understanding of business insights/category management principles
- Experience with third party syndicated market data NPD, IRI, Nielsen
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
