A lovely couple is looking for a long-term, full-time, live-out, house manager (part remote), on the Upper East Side of NYC. The role start as soon as possible. Relocation is not being offered. Local candidates only. The family includes the Mr. and Mrs. of the house. Their two older children visit every so often. They have one dog, which they have a dog-walker for. This role will report to the lady of the house. Other staff includes an executive housekeeper and a laundress/housekeeper. The house manager will also liase with their family office.The house manager must have several years experience in a high-net worth, formal private residence. This role will manage their home, vendors, staff, staff schedules, hiring staff, training staff, creating digital manuals for the household, and for each staff function. The house manager will maintain physical binders of all household manuals, for the staff to refer to.The families' home on the Upper East Side is being repaired and renovated after a fire, so they are in a temporary apartment until October of this year. Once back in their home, it is 7,500 sq ft, two-levels, with 11-foot ceilings. Before moving back in, the executive housekeepers will need to do a thorough cleaning, then will be helping to unpack and organize all that is moved back into their home. They do have photos of where everything goes, that can be referred back to when organizing. The house manager will be responsible for seeing the moving back in into their home.Their household has all high-end fixtures and furniture. Special French-polished ebony, real wood floors, crystal, silver, high-end furniture, etc. Everything is cleaned wearing white gloves. And the cleaning staff wears uniforms provided by the family. They have a significant amount of artwork that is professionally handled. Someone who has experience with cataloging artwork/maintaining and artwork database would be a plus. Otherwise, you should be willing to learn, as this may be part of this roles administrative duties, including coordinating with the art handlers and other counterparties.The house manager will also work with the executive housekeepers, to manage household inventory. This person must also have experience with organizing dinner parties. To be successful in this role you must be organized, tech savvy, detail-oriented, and know how to maneuver around a formal home. This couple is a great employer and are looking for staff that is dedicated, loyal, and trustworthy. They are also looking for someone who will hit the ground running, be energetic, take initiative, can multi-task, and thinks several steps ahead.The hours will ideally be Monday through Friday, business hours, 40 hours per week. When not needed to be at their residence, the house manager can work remotely from home. Although you must be flexible to work to occasionally work after hours or weekends. If asked to work on a weekend, the principals will try to give a day off during the week. This will ideally be Saturdays, when they sometimes host dinner parties.The family is offering medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid sick/personal days, main federal holidays paid, discretionary yearly bonus, and retirement/401k.The house manager must have their U.S. Birth Certificate, valid U.S. Passport, or valid Permanent Resident Card (Green Card), and be open to potentially traveling domestic and international in the future. There may be times when the house manager may be asked to travel to their other homes in Michigan, and possibly the home they are building in London. Bonus if you drive and have a valid drivers' license. The house manager must be COVID vaccinated. The salary range is $130k-$155k, contingent on experience. If the right candidate has all experience listed above, including having experience as an art curator, they may be open to a higher comparable salary.
