I. Position Overview:
The Britt Aero shipping department is responsible for the initial receipt of all products, materials, components, and supplies. The shipping department is also responsible to ensure that products are shipped to outside vendors and customers according to customer requirements.
II. Responsibilities:
A. Package and ship parts according to customer requirements.
B. Promptly load and unload delivery trucks, as necessary.
C. Weigh outgoing parts and print shipping labels.
D. Schedule outgoing deliveries, as necessary.
E. Create outgoing shipping documentation per Britt Aero’s internal procedures.
F. Provide, upon request, shipment and tracking information.
G. Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing slip requirements and distribute accordingly.
H. Build shipping crates and other woodworking projects as instructed.
I. Drives company vehicles safely and courteously.
III. Requirements:
A. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not necessary.
B. Must demonstrate the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
C. Must be able to work in a team environment.
D. Maintain a clean and organized work station.
E. Demonstrate the ability to operate or learn to operate a Fork Truck per safety procedures.
