BRIX Marine in Port Angeles, WA is seeking a full-time Finish Technician.
Level I pay range: $18-21/hour; Level II pay range: $21-28/hour; Level III pay range: $28-32/hour.
As a Finish Tech at BRIX, you’ll fulfill a critical role in building best-in-class BRIX boats. You’ll work closely with the team, ensuring that interior components, doors/windows, and coatings are installed in conformance with design specifications, company quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You’ll collaborate with other boatbuilders to meet production deadlines and continuously improve. And you’ll see the results of your contributions, performing detailing and finishing touches aboard our vessels.

The Finish Technician installs interior components, applies coatings, and performs detailing to manufacture vessels to specifications.
Duties
-Assist in the construction and installation of interior joinery/cabinetry.
-Install interior components such as seats/cushions, insulation, trim, paneling, flooring, and windows.
-Apply vessel coatings including interior/bottom paint, non-skid, clear coat, vinyl, etc.
-Install vessel accessories, hardware, or other components (e.g. labels, signage, etc.) as needed.
-Perform final detailing/cleaning at vessel completion.
-Use tape measures, levels and other inspection to verify conformance with design specifications, company quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
-Safely operate hand/power tools related to the job’s needs, including: drills, saws, sanders, sprayers, etc.
-Demonstrate safe work practices. Comply with safety standards required by the company and regulatory bodies.
-Obtain and maintain proper workplace training.
-Participate in regular/required meetings.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-Relevant experience (e.g. carpentry and/or painting) in a manufacturing/shop/construction environment.
-Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and instructions.

Basic math skills relevant to construction trades.
HS diploma or equivalent. Technical certificates and/or professional certifications (e.g. OSHA training) will be considered an asset.
Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US.
Environment
Work is performed in a metal manufacturing environment or outdoors in all types of weather. Noise level can vary from moderate to high. The use of PPE (e.g. respirator, hand/hearing/eye protection) is required. Continuous physical effort is required (standing, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, grasping/reaching, lifting/moving items up to 50 pounds). The employee is regularly required to work from a ladder and/or scaffolding, and occasionally required to carry a load in these positions.
