Location: Broadway Christian Church, 2601 W Broadway, Columbia, MO 65203
Status: Part-time, 25-28 hours per week
Compensation: $26-$30/hour

The Church Administrator serves as a key liaison among staff, volunteers, and the congregation, ensuring efficient management of church operations.
Job Summary
The Church Administrator is responsible for the administrative management of Broadway Christian Church, working closely with the Senior Minister and staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role involves managing communication, record-keeping, facility maintenance, and other tasks unique to the church.
Essential Functions
Daily Tasks:
- Process incoming mail
- Answer phone calls professionally and direct as needed
- Greet and welcome members and guests to the building, Monday through Thursday
- Update and maintain the procedures book for daily office operations
- Manage the phone system settings and voicemail messages
Weekly Tasks:
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Track worship attendance and faith development attendance
- Take and distribute minutes for staff meetings
- Prepare and distribute weekly email reminders (e.g., scripture for Elders, prayer requests for CareLink, special announcements)
- Coordinate and manage Sunday morning volunteer positions
- Update and maintain Sunday Morning Flower Chart
- Provide administrative support for weddings and funerals
Monthly Tasks:
- Process and submit receipts for reimbursement
- Coordinate printing and mailing for Broadway Life
- Maintain and coordinate the membership database
- Oversee security updates and maintain alarm system records
- Maintain church bus log and approved driver records
- Track and coordinate building and grounds maintenance schedules
Annual Tasks:
- Plan and order flowers for special church events (e.g., Easter, Christmas)
- Ensure church records and files are up to date and properly archived
- Coordinate with the Nominating Committee, providing all necessary information
Periodic Tasks (As Needed):
- Coordinate with the Property Team on building maintenance and equipment purchases/repairs
- Work with the Facilities Manager for building use coordination, room arrangements, and event planning
- Organize and stock office supplies
- Manage external building use requests and payments
- Manage office supplies (order paper, stamps, hand soap, etc.)
- Maintain and manage church workrooms
- Oversee copier and office equipment maintenance and record access codes
Technology:
- Coordinate with our tech support company as updates, repairs, or work station maintenance is needed
- Oversee IT system backups and ACS module updates
- Oversee ACS Facility Scheduler and calendaring
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (Some college preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace
- Experience with digital advertising and mailing services
- Basic knowledge of web applications and browsers
- Experience with database management
- Familiarity with phone systems
- Willingness to learn new technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Canva
- Familiarity with church operations and database software administration
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
