What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist - West position at Broadway Home Medical?
Locally owned DME company has an immediate need for an intake specialist. Job duties will include but not be limited to
- Answering inbound phone calls.
- Receiving orders via fax or hand carried into to our location.
- Verifying insurance benefits, deductibles and co-insurance amounts.
- Gathering medical records to prove medical necessity for medical equipment or supplies that have been ordered.
- Communicating with patients, referrals and insurance companies.
- Dispensing items to patients.
- Scheduling deliveries to patients.
- Sending orders for items to be shipped to patients.
- Assisting with retail sales.
Ideal candidates must be dependable and reliable. Have good general office skills and customer service skills. Possess excellent critical thinking and communication skills. General healthcare knowledge is a plus but willing to train the right individual.
Hours will be a set schedule from 9:00am - 6:00pm Monday through Friday and a rotating Saturday from 8:30am - 5:00pm.
