Both mentors and students go through Cycles of Engagement, a minimum of 3 per school year, as incremental voice opportunities for students, to build a community of practice towards systemic change. Each cycle ends with a panel of youth who present each phase of the Youth Participatory Action Research practice before an audience of school community stakeholders who can use their spheres of influence to make the research-based recommendations for change a systemic reality.
