SUBJECT:Steering Committee: Middle School Career Connection
Funds are available to support the formation of a steering committee for the school year 2025 focused on planning instructional options for students in grades 6 and 7 regarding career planning and access. This position is available through grant funding from MASS DESE Fund Code 424. Up to 7 members.
Qualifications
•Brockton Public School Middle School faculty/administrator.
•Familiarity with middle school schedules
•Familiarity with state initiatives included but not limited to MYCAP.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Attend regular meetings.
•Work independently and in group settings
•Review program offerings and compare with current trends/job outlook to generate viable career pathways for students leading
to certifications, articulations, Dual Enrollment, internships/work experience and/or employment.
Compensation:Contractual Rate (Up to 20 hours per participant)
