We are now Hiring a Director of Clubhouse Operations!
Compensation: Full-time Salary, Depending upon experience
Location: Broken Sound Club - 2401 Willow Springs Dr, Boca Raton, Florida 33496
Essential Responsibilities:
Direct and provide consistent quality services throughout the Food and Beverage Operations, Coffee Shop, Laundry, Housekeeping, and Valet, by communicating, training, and coordinating with others to achieve goals. To plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operations as may be directed by the Assistant General Manager, House Chairperson and the Board of Governors to ensure that quality, professional service, and consistency are provided daily.
- Monitors associates and creates standards for the Food and Beverage, Coffee shop, Laundry, Housekeeping, and Valet operations.
- Hands-on leadership and management.
- Oversees all training of Food and Beverage services including Servers, Food Server Assistants, Bartenders, Hosts/Hostesses, Reservationists, Banquet Set Up and children’s activities personnel.
- Oversees Restaurant Meetings, schedules and staffing and reviews budgeting to achieve cost efficiency.
- Review the performance of all related departmental employees consistently, in accordance with rules and regulations, Federal State and County Health and Sanitation laws regarding food storage, preparation, service, and also laws relating to labor, sexual harassment, and liquor.
- Participates in planning menus for all dining facilities, coordinating with the Executive Chef within the Club Monitoring food preparation, including quality and portion cost and controls.
- Primary responsibility for service staffing levels and monitoring budgetary compliance.
- Responsible for the preparation of the annual departmental budget and monitoring compliance (Food and Beverage, Coffee Shop, Laundry, Housekeeping, and Valet).
- Ensures proper billing of charges to the member’s account.
- Approves all independent contractor invoices.
- Maintains appropriate beverage incentives and conducts monthly beverage incentives.
- Assists with writing menus and special events.
- Review and update the budget forecasts with input from the Restaurant Managers.
- Develops equipment needs for short-range and capital improvement.
- Maintains inventories of China, glass, silver, and linens appropriate for continuous operations.
- Participates in the Capital Budget process for the Food & Beverage related products.
- Communicate directly with Club members to ensure members’ satisfaction levels are advanced.
- Writes monthly financial recaps for department.
- Write monthly recap for board report highlighting all activities in the department.
- Reviews the schedules, timecards, time allocation records, and attendance records with the Restaurant Managers weekly.
- Assists in developing flyers with Graphic Artist for all events.
- Covers Restaurant shifts as needed.
- Reviews and makes recommendations for improvements based upon guest evaluations including service, cleanliness, food quality, etc.
- Completes other duties/tasks as assigned by the Assistant General Manager
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel and Word
- Organization skills and attention to detail
- Exposure and experience with high-end clients is preferred
- Advanced leadership of a multi-unit or high volume, high-end operations. Prefer Hotel and/or Club experience.
Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with members and other employees of the Club.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred not required
- 5 years of leadership experience in a Hospitality setting or similar
