We are now Hiring a Food & Beverage Captain or Lead Server!

Compensation: Full-time Hourly, Depending upon experience (Non-tipping Club)

Schedule: The schedule will fluctuate Lunch and Dinner shifts, weekends and holidays are necessary

Location: Broken Sound Club - 2401 Willow Springs Dr, Boca Raton, Florida 33496

Position Summary:

Supervise and coordinate activities of Dining Room employees in a pleasant, polite manner. Engaged in providing courteous and rapid service to Members by performing the following duties.

• Assist wait staff when necessary.
• Assist in greeting guests and escort them to tables.
• Assist in set-up of the Dining Room for special parties, buffets, and assist Dining Room Manager with Dining room functions.
• Responsible for assigning staff side jobs including open duties.
• Check in and out all staff side work, opening duties and closing duties at the beginning and ending of shifts.
• Greets Members and guests by name whenever possible and must be attentive to their needs.
• Represents the vision of the F & B management team as it relates to service and Member satisfaction.
• Suggests and describes available appetizers, entrees, desserts, alcoholic beverages and wines to Members and guests.
• Assists with service of food and beverages in restaurants/bar and for special functions, when needed.
• Extensive knowledge of food menu and alcohol and wines served at the Club.
• Helps with the selection, training, supervision and evaluation of service staff.
• Spot-checks the dining room to ensure that the tables are set up properly, chairs are wiped down and there is not litter on the floor.
• Verifies that the wait staff is aware of their designated stations for each shift.
• Advises Manager of the completion or progress of each task prior to the opening of the dining room.
• Assists with food and beverage employees for training in foodservice in all phases of dining room operation.
• Represents the team values of Broken Sound Club

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervises (under the direction of management) servers and bussers, reporting performance to Management as necessary for follow-up praise and/or coaching and development.

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
• Minimum of four years of serving experience.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary.
