Brooke House Academy - USA is a full time academy combining soccer and education for Elite Level Youth Soccer players. Brooke House Academy - USA has two academy campuses across Florida (Orlando & Jacksonville) and will be opening in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale in August of 2025. Students of middle and high school age will complete training and performance work each morning, followed by online education in the afternoon.

Job Description:
Brooke House Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to “Build and Inspire Growth” by providing education support services to students at our Maitland campus. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with students, parents, coaches, and our education providers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of education principles, effective classroom management strategies, and a commitment to fostering the academic and social development of all students.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in class, between classes, and during recreation periods and field trips.
- Maintain all aspects and provisions of confidentiality related to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Maintain ongoing communication (written and verbal) with parents/guardians.
- Maintain a safe and secure learning environment in which all students are able to learn and progress in their education.
- Provides consistent behaviour management and ensures all students are working towards their goals each school day.
- Provide extra help to students who are struggling with a concept or an assignment.
- Communicate with FLVS teachers to assist in the learning process, schedule tutoring, DBAs, and any other online meetings.
- Ensure that the classroom is clean and organised and ready for the next day at the end of the school day.
- Follow attendance, punctuality and proper dress rules.
- Intervene, when appropriate, to situations concerning discipline of students.
- Follow all School policies, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
Essential:
- High School Diploma
- Associate of Art’s / Associate of Science Degree or sixty (60) hour equivalent from an accredited educational institution
- Must be able to pass Level 2 FDLE Background Check
- Must be able to pass controlled substances test
- Must be able to communicate effectively
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution
- Background in education
- Background working with athletes
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday
11:45am- 3:45pm
(during term time)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
