JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Assistant aids with the human resource processes at all business locations. This role administers employee screenings, orientations, and plan enrollment. The Human Resource Assistant Manager will assist the Human Resource Manager in additional company matters as needed.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
· Facilitate all pre-employment screening(s) and processes for all locations.
· Schedule new hire orientation meetings as required by Hiring Manager and/or HR Manager.
· Prepares new-employee files and complete I-9 forms, verify documentation and maintains I-9 files.
· Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
· Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
· Audit benefit statements and coordinate changes/corrections with each location.
· Assists with processing of hourly employee terminations.
· Assists with the preparation of the annual performance review process.
· Coordinate and maintain proper tracking of annual functions: Training(s), Blood Drives, 1st Aid, Etc.
· Process filing, mail, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions as needed.
· Assists or prepare company correspondences as requested by Owner, CFO or HR Manager.
· Work with Human Resource Manager on OSHA 300 logs and EEO Compliance Reporting.
· Assist the HR Manager or Controller on corporate matters as needed; including, but not limited to, 1094/1095 insurance forms, health insurance bills, flex spending accounts, and health savings accounts.
· Provide regular updates to Human Resource Manager on work flow and status.
· Assist and complete any special assignments or projects as assigned.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
· Associates Degree or two (2) years equivalent experience in Human Resource.
· Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
· Excellent verbal/written, interpersonal and customer communication skills.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters related to Company and Employee relations.
· Maintain a clean and neat work space and uphold Brown-Daub standards at all times.
· Professional and well-dressed appearance.
· Creative thinking and Social Media knowledge a plus but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to bend and twist (ie: filing) and lift up 10 lbs. on occasion.
