Our client, The Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association, is seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join their team. The successful applicant must be proficient in the use of QuickBooks, Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat. Salary range $68,000-$72000- Commensurate with experience.
General Ledger and Accounting
- Perform general ledger control and reconciliations of transactions
- Prepare financial statements for Executive Committee and Board of Directors
- Monitor cash flows, process transfers and investments, and reconcile bank statements
- Oversee yearly audit with external auditing firm and prepare pre-audit reconciliations
- Prepare inter-company journal entries, debt payments, cash transfers, and reconciliations
- Prepare and verify Association and Institute budgets, and portions of the grant budgets
- Track and compute assets and depreciation
- Sign checks for expenses after review and approval
- Review and approve credit card transactions, reconcile statements, and process payment
- Prepare allocations and journal entries for payroll, benefits, taxes, rent, internet, and audit accrual for inter-company transactions
- Process insurance payments and expenses
- Maintain Chart of Accounts and grants listings
Payroll and Taxes
- Process all payroll, taxes, benefits and payroll liability payments (health insurance, medical reimbursement, SIMPLE IRA)
- Complete all quarterly tax returns for payroll transactions
- Process W-2, W-3 forms at year-end and review 1099 forms
- Prepare benefits and SIMPLE IRA information for new employees and at year-end
Grants
- Complete fiscal grant reports and monitor grant transactions
- Track deferred revenue and grants receivables
Proficiency in the following:
- QuickBooks
- Excel
- Word
- Adobe Acrobat
- Office Administration
- Experience utilizing PCCD's Egrants system a plus!
Our client, The Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association, is seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join their team. The Accountant is responsible for general ledger control and all aspects of payroll processes. The Accountant will be required to oversee the compliance of auditing standards and generally accepted accounting principles. On an ongoing basis, the Accountant is also responsible for monitoring grant transactions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated person to work on important projects that help Pennsylvania’s prosecutors and other law enforcement. The successful applicant must be proficient in the use of QuickBooks, Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat. The ideal applicant will also have experience utilizing PCCD’s Egrants system, have a background in office administration and be able to quickly learn and execute the varying job tasks with confidence.
This is an in-person position located in Harrisburg, PA.
