The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing relationships with internal and external resources to ensure marketing campaigns are produced on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. They will partner with the core marketing team to streamline processes and create a standard of excellence across various departments. The Marketing Specialist will develop key marketing and social media materials, plan and execute efforts to build the firm's marketing presence, and analyze digital campaigns against performance goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage relationships with internal marketing, content/copy, graphic design, technology and operations professionals, and outside agencies and freelance resources to ensure marketing tools and campaigns are produced on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards
Partner with the core marketing team to streamline marketing processes and create a marketing process standard of excellence, and ensure adoption across various internal departments
Manage the creation and development of key marketing and social media materials
Contribute to the planning and development for efforts to build the firm's marketing presence across all channels including: print (collateral, banners, advertising), electronic (web, webinar, e-mail, social media, online communities) and event (trade shows, agency and broker meetings, road shows, industry conferences)
Analyze and assess digital marketing campaigns against performance goals (key performance indicators and return on investment)
Develop and maintain a marketing calendar allowing for distribution channel management and coordination of marketing efforts to target audiences, and proactively identify opportunities and conflicts; lead a weekly project tracking/status call with all stakeholders
Support sales teams through various technologies including marketing automation software and CRM system management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Proven outcomes in email marketing and social media promotions
Demonstrates high attention to detail
Knowledge or strong desire to learn about the insurance industry
Proven ability to write content on complex/technical topics
Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
Ability to operate under solid pressure and meet tight deadlines
Effective project management and time management skills, especially when working with others.
Sound understanding of marketing principles
Adept at learning new systems
Prior experience with marketing automation software, CRM systems, and email marketing platforms
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
4 years' relevant experience
Experience leading sales enablement efforts
Experience writing and editing professional content
