What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Bruce Fox, Inc.?
Summary: Administerspolicies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties:
- Communicates changes in company personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.
- Administers payroll process.
- Responsible for the recruiting process, including updating job descriptions, preparing ads and job postings, tracking applicant flow, and interviewing.
- Conducts new employee orientation program.
- Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of wage and salary program.
- Administers all benefit programs, including enrollments, changes and terminations and invoicing. This includes medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, long term disability, any axillary plans, Health Savings Accounts and 401k plan.
- Manages vacation accruals, attendance and timekeeping.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
- Conducts investigations into employee complaints, works with managers on presenting solutions to those complaints.
- Develops and administers OSHA 300 logs.
- Develops and files EEO-1 reporting.
- Researches and develops potential training grants and administers those grants. Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in HRIS systems
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and administrative tasks
- Familiarity with employment labor laws, affirmative action planning, and workers compensation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- BA degree and minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Internet research techniques, Excel spreadsheet and Word processing software.
- SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Experience in talent management and recruitment is a plus
