Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise sanitation operations in accordance with federal and state regulations, and plant policies and procedures; Direct cleaning of equipment and work areas; Inspect premises for unsanitary practices and conditions; Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and goals; Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems; Conduct weekly inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; Supervise Sanitation resources, including staffing level, to support operations; Follow and enforce company policies and procedures with special attention to safety and food safety; Identify, analyze and solve problems; Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment; Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals; Recommend ways to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, standards and safety of the Sanitation department; Recommend ways to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of operations; Train team members and temporary associates; evaluate their performance; recommend disciplinary actions, improvement plans, and promotions; Act and supervise in a way that enhances respect, support, and cooperation within the sanitation department and its relationship to other departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Knowledge of specialized equipment such: high pressure washer, foamer, steam machine, high lift, pallet jack, forklift, water gun; Ability to read, and follow instructions in English; Ability to interpret labels in English; Ability to write simple correspondence in English or Spanish; Ability to verbally communicate instructions, job assignments, and company-based communications to team members in English or Spanish; Basic arithmetic; Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
