Job Summary
The Sanitation Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within our facility. This position is responsible for overseeing the sanitation team, implementing cleaning protocols, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all areas. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining healthy indoor environment for commercial beef processing plant.
Duties
- Supervise and manage the sanitation staff to ensure effective cleaning operations.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train new employees on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Address any sanitation-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and employee performance.
- Report directly to plant manager.
- Ensure staff attends all safety training
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within custodial or commercial cleaning environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of housekeeping management practices in hotel or hospitality settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations and best practices for maintaining clean equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 25lbs and moving equipment as needed.
