The Hybrid Field/Inside Sales Representative will sell Bruker Optics process analytical solutions (PAT using MIR, NIR, and Raman techniques) and executing local demand generation activities for the North American sales territory. This position is remote and would ideally have a candidate located in Eastern US to provide good access to customers/prospects when not working on inside sales activities. This role will also support field sales during demos as a training opportunity for a future career move to field sales.

Responsibilities
- Perform inside sales activities to aggressively grow Bruker Optics’ PAT pipeline
- Responsible for lead generation and qualification activities using cold calling and cold emailing
- Work with the field sales staff, market development, and the Director of the PAT sales team to support business development activities inside core and target markets
- Gain an understanding of customer needs and the ability to offer solutions that meet those needs with a keen focus on value-based selling
- Research and build lists of prospective customers using resources provided by the sales management team
- Tracking campaigns and lead generation activities using a CRM system
- Provide lead generation tracking reports to the Director of the PAT sales team
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the PAT sales team
- Provide demos as requested during the sales process, reporting the executed feasibility studies when applicable
- Manage on-site trials when required to close sales in support of the field sales team
- NOB coordination from PO received to scheduling system installation to secure fastest revenue recognition
- Seek new market opportunities and new applications for the PAT solutions portfolio
- Coordinate activities with third-party agents and suppliers for a PAT solutions-based approach to sales projects
- Represent Bruker Optics at events like trade shows, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, & etc.
- Maintain & enhance sales skills through technical & sales training.
- Develop, maintain, & enhance technical knowledge on Optics products, company literature & information, and competition.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree focused in physical/biological science or engineering.
- Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
- Persuasive and goal-oriented
- Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
- Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- High school degree or equivalent
- Tenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client
- Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred
