Brunswick County is currently accepting applications for a License Plate Agency (LPA) Specialist to join the Tax Office. The LPA Specialist performs work related to a variety of License Plate Agency activities, including complex vehicle title and registration processing. Work includes: Processing applications for tag, title, registration, transfers/renewals, personalized plates and stolen/lost plates for cars, trucks, tractors, trailers, motorcycles, motor homes and mobile homes.Providing direct assistance to the public in person, by mail or over the telephone, in the issuance of license plates, titles and collection of sales taxes.Entering data with speed and accuracy.Balancing drawer daily and running required reports.Working with the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (NC DMV) to resolve any vehicle title issues.The LPA Specialist must exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with taxpayers and the public. Reports to the License Plate Agency Supervisor.
