Job Description: Brush Dental Studio ready to welcome it’s newest team member – We are looking for a dynamic and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our patients. Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and customer-focused attitude will contribute to the overall success of our practice. You will be the initial point of contact for patients and will be responsible for facilitating their journey through our clinic. A team mindset is an absolute must for this position. We are all working towards a common goal, which means, overall support towards each other is imperative.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients with a smile as they arrive, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to optimize the dentist's daily schedule.
- Communicate with patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and ensure they understand any pre-appointment instructions.
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details.
- Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and forms.
- Address patient inquiries, concerns, and questions both in person and over the phone.
- Coordinate with dental team to ensure a smooth patient flow and timely delivery of services.
- Process payments, provide cost estimates, and discuss financial options with patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using our practice management software.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure patient records and treatment plans are accurately documented.
- Contribute to the overall office organization, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office (required).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience with insurance verification and processing is a plus.
- Proficient with office software and computer systems including Microsoft Office (experience with Open Dental software is a plus).
- Empathetic and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in dental assisting or healthcare administration is a bonus.
- Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and dental practices.
- Flexible team-player who is willing to support the team as needed.
