Reports to: Director of Marketing and Communications
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising, or communications.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Previous experience as a creative specialist or graphic designer.
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, including content and social media marketing.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Social Media and Email Marketing
- Maintain brand consistency across all social media and email platforms.
- Conduct research to implement current social media strategies, including scheduling.
- Ensure content adheres to Bryan College’s mission.
- Create content and visuals for social media and email campaigns, overseeing all elements and schedules through the CRM, and tracking performance.
- Supervise content produced by Graduate Assistants (GAs), student workers, and departments.
- Provide social media strategy training to GAs, student workers, and departments.
- Monitor all social media channels, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and communicate adjustments to departments as necessary.
- Graphic Design
- Gather information and materials to prepare design work.
- Use graphic design tools and software to create visual concepts and designs, selecting colors, fonts, photographs, layouts, and other elements. Make any requested edits or adjustments per the Director or department’s requests.
- Prepare print files for production and send them to the vendor. Archive all final and working files through the Marketing Google Drive system.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications on branding, marketing strategies, and overall media creation.
- Present and pitch design concepts to the Director of Marketing & Communications and other leaders as needed.
- Review rough creatives and final layouts from other departments for branding approval, suggesting improvements when necessary.
- Provide the Marketing Director with proofs to review before publication, including content from GAs and student workers.
- Oversee creative training and work for GAs and student workers.
- Other Responsibilities
- Assist the Advancement and Alumni Departments in creating content and designs for projects such as Bryan Life Magazine, email newsletters, appeal letters, and scholarship reports.
- Create and size art for online purposes, including the regular maintenance of the website. Make website edits through the editor as needed
- Research market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes, preparing reports by analyzing and summarizing data.
- Support the Director in assessing and establishing the marketing plan and strategy by organizing sales forecasts and promotional presentations.
- Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the sales team and provide instructions for use or promotion.
- Maintain an updated directory and inventory of admissions support materials and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed.
- Research new sources of customer data and provide recommendations to sales and marketing leadership.
- Use the ticketing system to communicate with departments regarding their projects.
- Gather estimates from vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist in developing and implementing the company’s brand.
- Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics to measure success.
