BTAS is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our Hiring Managers on recruiting/staffing current contracts and to also support Capture Managers in the proposal division for responding to Task Orders and proposals in the DoD/Federal contracting space. The Talent Acquisition specialist will be responsible for sourcing and screening active and passive candidates for Federal Task Orders & Proposals, determining qualifications against open requisitions, and proposing qualified candidates for hire.

The Talent Acquisition specialist will be responsible for sourcing and screening active and passive candidates for Federal Task Orders & Proposals, determining qualifications against open requisitions, and proposing qualified candidates for hire.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sourcing, assessing, and recommending for hire the best candidates to fill vacant positions from internal and external sources while developing and maintaining a pipeline of quality candidates for the growing business.
- National, CONUS and OCONUS recruiting of qualified candidates for new business/proposal development.
- Work closely and collaborate with Capture Managers and the Proposal department in creating proposal job requisitions, sourcing and screening candidates, and scheduling interviews to fill staffing for key personnel.
- Ability to create and maintain candidate matrix spreadsheets.
- Create and send qualified key personnel candidates Letter of Intent or Contingent Offers as required per the RFP.
- Posting positions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and preparing written correspondence.
- Developing partnerships in multiple states and cities to enhance the recruiting process. Such partnerships may include workforce centers, state unemployment agencies, temporary employment agencies, talent acquisition marketing/advertising agencies, universities/colleges, and pre-employment testing.
- Maintaining employment resumes, application forms, and applicant tracking logs for Affirmative Action Plan
- Creating and ensuring that a consistent recruiting process is utilized from posting through hire that creates data points for the life cycle of the prospective employee while providing a pool of candidates to hire when needed.
- Calling qualified applicants for employment from the HR database.
- Conducting interviews, preliminary phone screen assessments and reference checks.
- Developing and extending job offers to internal and external candidates.
Provide administrative support such as:
- In-processing selected qualified candidates for positions.
- Providing information on salary and assisting employees with benefit enrollment.
- Assisting in the compilation of statistical data for EEO, attendance, workers compensation, wage administration, and job descriptions as needed.
- Providing advanced technical support using technical tools such as MS Office applications, including Word and Excel, internet, and social media.

Required Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Thorough knowledge of equal employment opportunity laws, ADA, and other government compliance regulations that affect job recruitment.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the Human Resource discipline as they pertain to Recruiting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated strong management and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to use initiative and judgment, as well as rely on instructions, guidelines, and regulations to successfully meet performance expectations pertaining to efficient operation and execution of corporate Human Resource activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with BTAS leadership and employees.
- Self-starting ability and high energy to work on several projects simultaneously and methodically.
- Must be organized, efficient, able to multi-task and work independently.
- Displays positive attitude and flexibility.
Preferred Education and / or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Human Resources.
- 5 years’ experience in recruiting in a government contractor environment with DoD focus.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.
